Healthy Aging and the related Biochemical process

The characteristics we refer to as aging happen when the body’s ability to maintain health declines. The body becomes less able to bring itself back into a state of balance when it is overwhelmed by stressors ( physical, chemical, structural, emotional). Not only is there a loss of function as we age, but a loss in organ reserve to draw upon in times of need. These reserves are vital to good health, since they are called upon whenever you experience an infection, radiation, physical injury, toxic exposure, or psychological stress, allowing you to bounce back from illness.

As we age, these stressors combine to produce changes in a cell’s membrane, DNA, and other structural components. This leads to a loss in the balance and control of the informational flow that occurs both within a cell and between cells. When communication is disrupted, what was a symphony becomes discordant noise and disarray of the delicately balanced systems of the body ensues. The most basic elements of cellular function become less efficient and this eventually culminates in disease as the body deteriorates.

A number of factors, including nutritional deficiencies, excessive production of stress hormones, imbalances of life-enhancing hormones, toxins, dental poisons, and immune dysfunction, accelerate aging process at the cellular level. Together, these age-accelerators influence activities important to the viability of a cell: the amount of nourishment a cell receives, the cell’s ability to rid itself of wastes, the degree of DNA mutation, and the ability of the cell to repair damage.
